It's all about the music...
The Heavy Rock Show began during lockdown in the Spring of 2020, when East London Radio (ELR) gave Kaz the keys to the mic to create a show. Since that time, we've created over 300 shows featuring Rock and Metal music from around the world.
With a soft spot for independent and emerging artists alongside a healthy dose of recognisable names in the Rock and Metal community, as well as some legacy bands thrown in for good measure now and then, Kaz and Izzy showcase the music they both love. There's a lot of great music coming out at the moment and we aim to get it in your ears!

About ELR
Founded by Ian Chambers in a small studio in Hackney, 2023 saw ELR celebrating its 10th anniversary on air. In addition to The Heavy Rock Show, ELR features a variety of music and programming, including film reviews, interviews, spoken word stories from all over the world and The Saturday Morning Show, presented live by Ian, Kaz and James. We are a volunteer-run station serving the East London community at large, and available on DAB in parts of East and South East London. Our shows are also available on Mixcloud.
