It's all about the music...
The Heavy Rock Show began in the Spring of 2020, when East London Radio (ELR) gave Kaz the keys to the mic to create a show. Since that time, we've created over 250 shows which have been aired featuring Rock and Metal music from around the world.
With a soft spot for independent and emerging artists alongside a healthy dose of recognisable names, and with some legacy bands thrown in for good measure, Kaz and Izzy endeavour to showcase the music they both love.
There's a lot of great music coming out at the moment and we aim to get it in your ears!
ELR is a volunteer-run station with a wide format serving the East London community at large.
Founded by Ian Chambers in a small studio in Hackney, 2023 saw ELR celebrating its 10th anniversary on air. In addition to The Heavy Rock Show, it features a variety of programming, including film reviews, interviews, grassroots football,
current events and The Saturday Morning Show presented live by Ian, Kaz and James.
